WEEK 1 EOC: NEW BUSINESS PITCH
Coming up with a new business concept, I decide to use an
already existing technology to produce a new service. I have often wished I had
someone deliver my morning coffee. For those hectic mornings, you know the
ones, when your alarm goes off late AND you can’t seem to find your left shoe
AND you can’t possibly fathom sitting in a crowded carline to wait for your overly
priced, triple shot latte! Those are the mornings in
which my concept would save the day!
1.
Listen. By listening
to others, entrepreneurs get ideas about improving a business or creating a new
one. Create one business idea by listening. Describe how you got the idea.
2.
Observe. By constantly
keeping their eyes and ears open, entrepreneurs get ideas about how to help
society, about what kind of businesses they could start, and about what
consumers need. Create a business idea by observing. Describe how you got the
idea.
3.
Analyze. When
entrepreneurs analyze a problem, they think about what product or service could
solve it. Create a business idea by thinking up a solution to a problem.
Describe how you arrived at the idea.
The concept is simple; the execution is simple. You would
have the ability to prearrange your delivery day, order and pay for your choice
of coffee over PayPal, thus decreasing the need for human interaction in the
wee hours of the morning. The marketing for this business would mostly start
off as word of mouth. I would have to also create a menu which would be posted
in a social media medium, such as Facebook. The way I envision this service
taking place is pretty basic. I am not looking to reinvent the wheel here.
Entrepreneurship extends
beyond the fast-growing technology enterprises that are most commonly associated
with it. There are many variations on entrepreneurship, and the opportunities
are innumerable. For example, entrepreneurship may include for-profit
enterprises that support the missions of not-for-profit organizations,
businesses designed for social impact, and ventures that are environmentally
oriented.
I am looking to
provide a solution. As I mentioned before, mornings can be chaotic. From
personal experience, I can tell you that many times when things start out rough
in the mornings, it has the potential to set the tune for the remainder of the
day. We often do so much for others and we sink to the bottom of the priority
list.
Fulfillment. Successful entrepreneurs are passionate about their businesses. They are
excited and fulfilled by their work. Entrepreneurs who are working to reach
their full potential are rarely bored, because there is always plenty to do. If
one facet of running the business is uninteresting, and they have the income to
support it, they can hire someone else for that task.
My service is a good way to enhance your superwoman
abilities! Let the Coffee Caravan assist you with your caffeine needs!
